Incredible $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
